Pastor & Elder Bios

Pastor Bill Bagley Bill Bagley - Senior Pastor

I grew up in a Christian home and attended at wonderful Bible-teaching church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  After graduation from high school I attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I prepared for full-time pastoral ministry for five years and where I met Gloria.  Following graduation in 1974 we served as pastor and wife in Tuscola, Michigan and Sutter, Illinois before moving to Utah in 1984.  In Utah we were missionaries serving a small church in Nephi, then planting a new church in Pleasant Grove in 1988.  In 1997 we went to Frontier School of the Bible in LaGrange, Wyoming to serve as instructors and Deans.  We came back to our church-planting roots in 2003 to begin Grace Fellowship Church.

I too had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and a ministry family.  My father was President of Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 40 years and I attended and graduated from there in 1969, then served there on staff for a few years until Bill and I married.  We have thoroughly enjoyed serving together in church work, especially as church planters.  I also have the privilege of speaking around the country at many Ladies Retreats and Women’s Conferences, including addressing women at several national pastor’s conferences conducted by Rural Home Missionary Association.

Dan & Kathy Jacobson

Dan & Kathie Jacobson - Elders

We have been married for 24 years and have a blended family of five children and 12 grandchildren.

We both gave our hearts to the Lord at a “Friend Day” service in California in 1989, freeing us from the bondage of Mormonism.

Kathy is a sixth-generation Mormon and Dan had been a new convert to the LDS church.

After we were saved we asked the Lord to use us in any way He saw fit, and He sent us to the mission field of northern Utah!

We have been a part of Grace Fellowship Church since it began four years ago.

Jim & Debbie Chavarria

Jim & Debbie Chavarria - Elders

We were both raised in Mexican-American Roman Catholic families in southern California.

We met in High School and became sweethearts.  We married in 1978 and came to live in Preston, Idaho.

We have a daughter, Alexis, who is 25 years old and a son, Aaron, who is 18.

When our daughter was 14 she became very rebellious which led to a lot of strife in our home.  It was out of that strife that Jesus revealed Himself to us one at a time.

We believe we have been called to maintain a lasting fellowship in Preston and to continually be transformed to “learn, grow and serve” to the glory of God.  We have been a part of Grace Fellowship Church since its inception.
